2. Purposes and Lawful Bases for Processing Personal Data

We use information for a few different purposes and these each have a different lawful basis.

Clients and Project Partners – We process contact details to deliver services, manage projects, and follow up after completion, because we have a legitimate interests and/or it may be required for the performance of a contract.
Retention period: Six years after the end of the contractual relationship.

Suppliers and Other Business Contacts – We process contact details to manage business relationships, because we have a legitimate interest in doing business with the organization.
Retention period: Three years from last contact.

Website Visitors – We may collect IP addresses to improve our website. We have a legitimate interest in tracking user journeys on the site so that we can improve our site.
Retention period: Up to three years from last visit.

3. Who We Share Personal Data With – We share data with trusted service providers such as accountants, IT providers, and subcontractors, under appropriate data protection agreements.

4. International Transfers – Some data may be stored outside the UK or EEA using cloud services. Appropriate safeguards are in place, such as only using well respected, major suppliers.

Contractual Requirements – If you work for a Circular Insight client or partner organisation, it’s a requirement that we collect personal information from you so that we can enter into a contract with your employer and perform our services. If you ask us to restrict processing of your personal data it may  affect our ability to deliver our services. 8. Other Information – We do not carry out automated decision-making, do not sell personal data, and will notify you of any changes to this policy.
